Two Palettes, One Mood Shift

I’ve been in a bit of a brown eyeshadow phase lately. Not the boring kind—the soft, warm tones that somehow make everything look more put together without trying too hard. It’s the kind of makeup that works on busy days, lazy days, even those “I don’t know what I’m doing” days.
I’ve been switching between two palettes, and each one has its own vibe.
1. Sand Hill Eyeshadow Palette
This palette feels like that reliable friend you don’t question. The shades lean into warm browns, with a mix that’s easy to work with. What I like is how forgiving it is—even if I’m not careful, it still blends out nicely. The colors don’t come out too strong right away, so I can build them slowly without worrying about messing up. I usually reach for this when I want a soft, everyday look, something that just quietly enhances my eyes without making it a whole statement.

2. Mood Keyboard Eyeshadow Palette by lilybyred
This one feels a bit more playful. The color range still sits in the brown family, but there are little twists—some shades feel slightly rosy, others a bit muted, almost like different moods in one palette. The texture is smooth, and the colors show up a bit more compared to Sand Hill, so it feels more expressive. I like using this when I want my eye makeup to stand out just a little more, even if the overall look is still natural.

Brown eyeshadow doesn’t have to feel repetitive. These two palettes show how the same color family can still give different moods—one easy and soft, the other a bit more expressive. I like having both, because some days I want simple, and other days I want just a little more without going too far.
