I’ve been trying to simplify my skincare routine lately, especially when my skin starts acting up for no clear reason. Instead of layering too many products, I leaned into calming creams that focus on repair and hydration.
Two that ended up on my shelf are Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream and Purito Seoul Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream. They feel similar at first glance, but once you spend time with them, their personalities start to show.
1. Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream
This one feels like that quiet friend who doesn’t say much but always shows up when you need them. The texture sits somewhere between light and nourishing—enough to comfort dry spots but not heavy to the point of feeling greasy. When my skin looks a bit tired or slightly irritated, this cream seems to settle things down without making a big fuss about it. I noticed it works best at night, especially after a long day outside or when my skin feels sensitive. It gives that “rested” look the next morning, like my skin had time to breathe.

2. Purito Seoul Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream
This one has a fresher vibe. The first thing I felt was how cooling it is, almost like a drink of water for the skin. It spreads easily and sinks in fast, which makes it perfect for mornings when I don’t want to wait around before sunscreen or makeup. On days when my skin feels dehydrated or tight, this cream brings back that soft, comfortable feeling. It doesn’t leave a heavy layer, just a smooth finish that feels clean and simple. I keep reaching for it when I want something easy and refreshing, especially in warm weather.

Both creams have their own charm, and honestly, I don’t think it’s about choosing one over the other. It’s more about what your skin needs at the moment. Some days call for something soothing and steady, while others just need a quick splash of hydration. Having both gives a bit of flexibility, and that’s something my skin seems to appreciate more than a complicated routine.
