I didn’t realize how much my mood affects my eyeshadow until I started switching between palettes more intentionally. Some days I just want something quick and soft, other days I feel like sitting down, taking my time, and really building a look.
That’s where Somethinc The Marionette and Natasha Denona somehow balance each other out in my routine.
1. Somethinc The Marionette
This palette feels easy from the moment I open it. No pressure, no need to plan too much. I can dip into any shade and it just works without looking messy. The tones are friendly—nothing too loud, nothing too dull either. What I like is how forgiving it is. Even when I’m not being precise, the result still looks decent. It’s the kind of palette I grab when I’m halfway distracted or just not in the mood to think too much about makeup. Somehow, it still pulls everything together in a simple way.

2. Natasha Denona
This one feels different right away. The colors show up stronger, and I have to be a bit more mindful when applying. But that’s part of the charm. It makes me slow down, almost like I’m painting instead of just doing makeup. There’s a richness in the shades that makes the final look stand out more. Even a basic combination ends up looking more “finished.” I don’t always reach for it daily, but when I do, it feels like I’m putting in extra effort—and it shows.

These two don’t compete—they just serve different moods. One keeps things relaxed and effortless, the other brings a bit more depth and intention. And having both? It just makes getting ready feel less repetitive, which I’ve come to appreciate more than anything.
