Hello friends! Is anyone else ridiculously picky about mascara, or is it just me? A good formula can transform my makeup look, but my naturally pin-straight lashes make it challenging to find the right one. I need mascaras that effectively lift, hold a curl all day, and, importantly, don’t smudge under my eyes after a few hours.

Whenever I keep reaching for the same mascara repeatedly, that means it truly impressed me. Lately, this has been my favorite mascara combo for long, fluffy lashes that still look separated and lifted.

1. Milk Makeup KUSH High Volumizing Mascara ($28)

I actually own the travel-size version of this mascara, which costs around $15, and I almost always buy mascaras in mini sizes first whenever I’m testing a new formula. It saves money, takes less space, and helps me decide if the product is worth buying full-size later.

2. Tower28 Beauty MakeWaves Lengthening + Volumizing Mascara ($20)

The Tower28 MakeWaves Mascara is the perfect finishing mascara in my routine. While the Milk Makeup mascara gives me volume first, this one comes in afterward to lengthen, separate, and define my lashes. What stands out most to me is how well this mascara separates each lash. Instead of clumping everything together, it gives my lashes that lifted, fanned-out effect that makes my eyes look more open.

Mascara honestly feels like the final step that brings my entire makeup look together. When I find formulas that can survive straight lashes without smudging or making my curl fall flat, I hold onto them immediately. This combo has become one of my favorites because it gives me volume, length, curl, and separation all at once while still feeling comfortable throughout the day.
