Shipwreck Beach, also known as Navagio Beach, is one of the most iconic destinations on Zakynthos Island in Greece.

Where Shipwreck Beach Is

Shipwreck Beach sits on the northwest coast of Zakynthos Island in the Ionian Sea. Because high cliffs surround the bay, we cannot drive or walk directly onto the beach.

The only way to reach the sand area is by boat. However, we can reach the cliff viewpoint by land to see the full panoramic view.

How To Get There — Sea Transportation

From Ports to Shipwreck Beach

1. Porto Vromi Harbor

- Boat tickets: usually $30–$45 per person

- Departure times: around 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM

- Ride duration: 15–25 minutes

- Many tours include sea caves and swimming stops

2. Agios Nikolaos Port

- Boat tickets: $35–$50 per person

- Ride duration: 25–40 minutes

- Some tours offer longer coastal exploration

3. Zakynthos Town Port

- Boat tickets: $40–$60 per person

- Ride duration: about 60 minutes

- Often includes multiple scenic stops

Land Transportation & Access To Viewpoint

Navagio Viewpoint (Cliff Top)

- Parking fee: $5–$10 per vehicle

- Scooter rental: $15–$25 per day

- Car rental: $40–$80 per day depending on vehicle type and season

- Taxi from Zakynthos Town: $30–$45 one way

- Local bus with short taxi transfer: around $8–$12 total for transport part

After parking, we walk to the viewing platform. The path can be rocky, so wearing comfortable shoes is important.

There are no fixed opening hours for the viewpoint because it is public space, but visiting during daylight hours is safest and best for photos.
