Rating Body Oils!

Body oils honestly changed the way my skin looks and feels, especially on days when regular lotion just doesn’t feel enough. I love how they leave the skin looking healthier, smoother, and naturally glowy without needing too much effort. But not every body oil feels the same — some are richer and deeply nourishing, while others feel lighter and more luxurious on the skin.

Recently, these two body oils have been part of my routine, and they give completely different vibes depending on what I’m looking for.

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Body Oil - 8.5/10

This body oil feels incredibly nourishing, especially for dry skin days. The texture is richer compared to most lightweight oils, so my skin instantly feels softer and more moisturized after applying it. I especially love using this after showering at night because my skin still feels hydrated the next morning. The finish gives a healthy glow without looking overly greasy, and the scent feels warm and comforting. The only reason I didn’t rate it higher is because it can feel slightly heavy in very hot weather if I apply too much.

L’OCCITANE Karité Confort Body Oil - 9.5/10

This one feels much more luxurious the moment it touches the skin. The texture is silky, lightweight, and absorbs beautifully without leaving that sticky oily feeling afterward. Even though it feels lighter than the Shea Moisture oil, it still leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth. What I love most is how elegant the entire experience feels — from the texture to the subtle comforting scent. This is the type of body oil that makes everything feel a little more polished and expensive, even if you’re just staying home.

If my skin feels extremely dry and needs deep moisture, I’d probably reach for the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Body Oil because it feels richer and more nourishing. But for everyday use, especially when I want soft glowing skin without heaviness, I personally prefer the L’OCCITANE Karité Confort Body Oil. It just melts into the skin so beautifully and feels effortless to wear.
