Finding the right toner honestly feels harder than it should be. Some toners leave the skin fresh and balanced, while others suddenly make everything feel tight, irritated, or overly oily.
After trying different textures and formulas, I realized that the “best toner” really depends on your skin type and what your skin is craving at the moment. Here are four viral toners that all work very differently — and who I personally think they suit best.

1. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Toner
This toner feels like the skincare version of fresh fruit water. The texture is slightly thicker than regular toners, and it gives the skin that smooth glossy look almost immediately. Since it contains PHA and BHA, it gently helps with uneven texture, clogged pores, and dullness. I personally think this one suits combination to oily skin the most, especially if your skin looks textured or tired. It gives a really pretty glow without making the skin feel heavy.

2. Anua Peach 77 Niacin Essence Toner
This one feels soft, juicy, and refreshing on the skin. Compared to Glow Recipe, it feels more hydrating and less exfoliating. The niacinamide helps brighten dull skin over time, while the peach extract gives the formula a very fresh and healthy-skin feeling. Whenever my skin looks tired, uneven, or dehydrated from lack of sleep, this is the kind of toner I naturally reach for. It layers beautifully under makeup too because it gives hydration without feeling greasy. I’d recommend this mostly for normal, dry, or dehydrated skin types that want brightness and hydration at the same time.

3. Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner
If your skin gets red easily, reacts to everything, or suddenly becomes sensitive for no reason, this toner honestly feels like a reset button. The texture is watery and simple, but that’s exactly why so many people love it. This is the toner I’d pick for acne-prone or irritated skin because it feels calming without suffocating the skin. It doesn’t try too hard to exfoliate or brighten instantly — instead, it focuses on keeping the skin balanced and comfortable.

4. TIRTIR Milk Skin Toner
TIRTIR feels completely different from the others because the texture is much richer and milkier. The first time I tried it, my skin immediately felt softer and more moisturized. It gives that plump “glass skin” effect that looks especially pretty during nighttime skincare routines. I personally love this type of toner when my skin feels dry from air conditioning or overusing active skincare products. It leaves the skin looking healthy, smooth, and well-rested. However, if you have very oily skin or dislike richer skincare textures, this might feel a little too heavy during hot weather.

At the end of the day, the best toner is not always the most viral one — it’s the one your skin keeps asking for. Some days your skin wants calming hydration, other days it needs brightness or gentle exfoliation. That’s why choosing skincare based on your skin condition matters so much more than following trends blindly.
