Three Ways To Use Pink

Some beauty products end up in my routine because I need them, and others stay because they make getting ready feel more fun. Pink blush usually falls into the second category for me.
I love how a pink cheek colour can completely change the mood of a makeup look, but I also know that not every pink works in the same way. Looking at these three products side by side, I noticed that each one creates a very different kind of finish, even though they all live in a similar colour family.

1. Flower Knows
The Flower Knows product immediately caught my attention because of the packaging. It has that soft, decorative, almost collectible look that makes you want to leave it out on a table rather than hide it in a makeup bag. I expected it to be more about the aesthetic than the performance, but I was pleasantly surprised by how wearable it felt. For me, this kind of product suits the days when I want my blush to look romantic and soft rather than overly polished. It gave me the impression of a gentler pink, something that fits easily into a lighter everyday makeup look. What I like about it most is the mood it creates. It feels sweet, slightly nostalgic and very easy to pair with simple eye makeup and a natural lip.

2. Huda Beauty
The Huda Beauty pink stick looks much brighter in the swatch, and that is exactly why I found it interesting. Sometimes I want blush to sit quietly in the background, but sometimes I want it to be the part of the makeup that actually wakes up my whole face. This one feels more playful to me. I would reach for it on days when I want a fresher, more obvious pop of colour and do not mind spending an extra few seconds blending. What surprised me was that the colour looked bold in the swatch, yet still had that creamy, skin-friendly effect I usually look for in cheek products. I also think this kind of shade works well when the rest of the makeup is minimal, because it already brings enough personality on its own.

3. Pink Liquid Blush
The third product, the pink liquid blush, felt like the most vibrant option of the three. I tend to be careful with liquid blush because it can go from beautifully fresh to slightly too much very quickly, but this is also why I keep coming back to it. It gives that brighter, almost juicy finish that can make skin look more alive. For me, this is the one that suits days when I want my makeup to look a little more noticeable and a little less delicate. I found that products like this work best when I apply a very small amount first and build only where I need it. The payoff looks stronger than with a softer cream stick, but that is also part of its charm.

After trying these three pink products in different moods, I realised that I do not actually want one blush to do everything. I like having softer options for everyday makeup and brighter ones for the days when I want my face to look more awake and expressive. For me, the most enjoyable products are usually the ones that do not just add colour, but also give a certain feeling to the whole routine.
