Best Time to Visit

San Francisco’s weather is mild all year, but the best months are September to November. During this time, the city enjoys sunny skies, warmer temperatures (average highs 72°F), and less fog than summer. Early weekdays are ideal for popular attractions like Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Summer (June–August) brings more tourists and coastal fog, but it’s still perfect for outdoor activities if we plan around the weather.

Getting Around the City

San Francisco is compact but hilly, so transport planning is important:

- MUNI (buses and light rail): $3 per ride; day pass $13 for unlimited rides.

- Cable Cars: $8 one-way, $17 unlimited for a day. A fun way to ride hills and see the city.
